According to one source (now apparently off-line: hmmm...), the possession of fresh Psilocybe cubensis mushrooms in the state of Florida is legal. However, the sale of fresh mushrooms is illegal, as is the possession or sale of dried mushrooms.

Stropharia semi-globata. I wonder if European varients are hallucinogenic because I don't believe any have been reported as such in North America. In fact, Charles McIllvaine says "The caps are equal to any mushroom. I have eaten it since 1881".
Panaeolina foenisecii (typically not hallucinogenic)
Panaeolus ater
Panaeolus campanulatus
two varieties of Amanita muscaria (potentially deadly), and
Amanita pantherina (potentially deadly and certainly a mushroom not to be experimented with).
