From the "Why is this man smiling?"
Department...
Where was Lynch?
While the Democratic National Committee has been attacking the
Granite State's First-in the-Nation Presidential Primary, the state's Democratic
Governor, John Lynch, has kept a strangely low profile. In fact he's been
invisible, apparently a mere observer with no clout among his party's national
poobahs. Oh, there has been the occasional press release indicating concern for
what's been going on for local consumption, but not much more. With a key
committee of the DNC now scheduling a contest after Iowa's and before New
Hampshire's, the hammer has dropped with Lynch AWOL. ( see
link). A final, full DNC vote is coming soon, which may inspire His
Honor to get off his butt and get into gear. We don't expect much, however, from
this man's 'keep your hands clean at all costs' executive style. Losing the
primary. What a legacy. Hope you're enjoying your first term, governor, because
second terms, if you get one, can be, well, a ("bleep")...
